Most buffer tubes that are offered today are manufactured the exact same way they were, when the Ar15 was originally developed. The machining and plating are all to spec but nobody has applied new technology to either until now. Once you try a Rhineland Buffer tube you will not go back to anodized ones again, watch our videos to see just how good they are.
Rhineland is proud to introduce our first AR15 product. Our buffer tube is designed for those who prefer to use dry lube or run their rifles dry. Without grease or oil in the tube the potential for greater reliability in certain environments is a given, and why so many are switching over.
Our buffer tubes are different in that we are the only company that polishes the inside and then uses a Black Nickel Teflon coating for the entire surface. Black Nickel Teflon coatings are about the strongest coating you can get for aluminum with the highest level of built in lubricity and have it survive the abuse of a firearm. The black nickel has a slight metallic gun metal appearance to it.
We start with an impact extrusion, then machine the body to mil spec dimensions with a 6 position tab(with drain holes) for stocks and then polish the inside of the part in steps while keeping the part cold to keep the temper and then we have it plated in a multi-step process starting with a layer of copper and then nickle and other layers to to get the blackened nickel on correctly. The coating does not need any additional lubrication, but is compatible with all wet and dry lubricants if you wish to use them. Mud, burnt powder, grime , even wet concrete roll right off the nickel plated tube!
This is one of the most advanced and finest tubes for reliability you can get and an easy way to upgrade your rifle or to build a rifle for special applications.

Having used WMD coated buffer tubes, I can honestly say that RA’s performs better. I have tried the RA tubes with a standard carbine spring/buffer, an ArmaSpec captured buffer, and a KynShot buffer – and all perform noticeably smoother and quieter. So far, with 300-500 rounds on each setup, I haven’t noticed any wearing of the coating and actually the finish seems to “polish” itself with cycling. Great product. Highly recommend!

I just received 2 Black Nickle Buffer Tubes. The finish of these buffer tubes is the best that I have ever seen! They seem much better than DSA(Nickel Teflon) or WMD(Nickel Boron). I don’t use oil or grease in my buffer tubes or buffer springs & only a Moly based “Dry” lube with them(I do a fair amount of outdoor shooting in the dusty desert). I am always looking for products that can reduce the wear & friction of moving parts. This will be my new standard & go to product for all future builds or upgrades.
